KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) has lost one of its top office-bearers.
Datuk Johnson Tee (pic) has quit as secretary-general and left the party as well.
Tee is also Sabah state assembly Deputy Speaker.
In a short statement, Tee said he resigned on May 25.
“I have informed PBRS president Tan Sri Joseph Kurup of my resignation.
“He has acknowledged it,” said Tee.
On May 12, PBRS announced that it would be withdrawing its membership from Sabah Barisan Nasional.
It was the third Barisan component party to leave the coalition after United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation and Liberal Democratic Party.
