Actress Eyra Hazali, who is gradually making a name for herself as the heroine of the popular drama series Mr Grey, has been working since she was a six-year-old, reported Harian Metro.
In fact, the 19-year-old, whose real name is Hazirah Qasdina Hazali, was once awarded best child actor at Anugerah Sri Angkasa in 2010 for her role in Anak-Anak Lorong.
In an interview, Eyra said many fans of the drama series wondered whether she was a child actor because she looked familiar to them.
“At least they know who I am because of my acting. What’s important is they know me not due to some gossip or controversy,” she said, admitting that there were some people who questioned whether she could pull off the role in Mr Grey.
“However, their perception changed when they saw my acting,” said Eyra.
> The daily also reported that a 19-year-old girl who was found dead beside a road in Taman PD Permata with strangulation marks around her neck on Thursday had threatened to tell her ex-boyfriend’s parents that he was vaping.
According to a police source, the Kolej Vokasional Port Dickson student had broken up with her boyfriend, also 19, some weeks ago and met him on the day of the murder to discuss their relationship.
“While arguing in the car, Nur Alya Damian Hairi apparently threatened to tell his parents about their relationship and that he was vaping without their knowledge.
“He got angry and went berserk, strangling her until her nose bled and she lost consciousness.
“Then he panicked and pushed Nur Alya’s body out of the car before returning to his home,” he said, adding that the ex-boyfriend was also a student at the same college.
