Maria Chin: Nurul Izzah's on-air harassment spells urgent need for Gender Equality Act

PETALING JAYA: Lawmaker Maria Chin Abdullah is calling for a Gender Equality Act to be enacted as criticisms mount against the caller on a Facebook Live talk show who commented on Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar's modesty.

"We have to begin to name the crime and not call it anything else," Maria said, adding that the comments by the caller was a form of sexual harassment.
