Raja of Perlis won’t let ‘outsider’ control state via mentri besar

KANGAR: The Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail is an angry man. The absence of nine Barisan Nasional assemblymen for the mentri besar’s swearing-in ceremony despite invitations being sent two days earlier has earned his wrath.

The Raja felt that their absence at the swearing-in of Datuk Seri Azlan Man meant that they were being controlled by “someone” and declared that he did not want “outside forces” to control the state through a “puppet mentri besar”.
