GEORGE TOWN: Fifteen pupils of a primary school in Ayer Itam escaped in the nick of time when an alert teacher evacuated them from their classroom after hearing cracking sounds from the ceiling.
Soon after, a section of the ceiling of the wooden double-storey building in SK Ayer Itam collapsed at about 8am yesterday.
