Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said PDRM congratulates Muhyiddin on his appointment, which was announced by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Saturday.
“We are committed to carrying out the duties entrusted to us.
“Our main goal is to ensure the safety and security of the country and its people while upholding the honour of the Home Ministry under his (Muhyiddin) leadership,” he said in a statement yesterday.
On Saturday, Dr Mahathir named Muhyiddin as Home Minister following a Pakatan Harapan presidential council meeting at Menara Yayasan Selangor.
