Shafie arrives at workplace amidst tight security

KOTA KINABALU: Newly sworn in Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal has arrived for his first day at work at the Sabah Administrative Centre (PPNS) here at 10.50am on Monday amidst tight security.

The Parti Warisan Sabah president was welcomed by his supporters and party members, who had been waiting at the PPNS since 7.30am, upon his arrival.

It is learned that Shafie had earlier met with several senior government and security officials at his house in Taman Golf View.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Tan Sri Musa Aman Musa has boarded a Malindo flight bound for Kuala Lumpur at 9am.

On Sunday (May 13), Musa had issued a statement maintaining that he was still the rightful Sabah Chief Minister.
