PUTRAJAYA: As of 1.42am on May 10, the Election Commission (EC) said neither Barisan Nasional nor Pakatan Rakyat had managed to gain a simple majority of 112 parliamentary seats that would enable them to form the Federal Government.
At a press conference, EC chairman Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Abdullah said that the votes from 176 parliamentary seats had been counted, out of the total 222 seats.
