KEPALA BATAS: Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi came to cast his vote in Kepala Batas early Wednesday morning.

The former Prime Minister cast his vote at 8.45am, followed five minutes later by his wife Tun Jeanne Abdullah, at SK Permatang Bertam here.

Abdullah was earlier greeted by Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican who is defending his Kepala Batas parliamentary seat, and his wife Datin Seri Ismalina Ismail.

Abdullah chatted with other voters before leaving the polling station.

He had held the Kepala Batas parliamentary seat for eight terms from 1978 to 2008, retiring from politics before GE13. The seat was then won by Reezal Merican, who is also Deputy Foreign Minister.
