Rosmah: I’ve never meddled with PM’s duties

PEKAN: The Prime Minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor (pic) said she has never interfered with the official duties of her husband in governing the country.

She said she had been slandered in “attacks” meant to openly bring down the Prime Minister.

“I have never interfered with Datuk’s (Najib’s) business, especially those relating to the Government.

“I don’t understand why people still connect me with my husband’s duties. All sort of stories have been told until people become scared of me.

“Just look at YouTube. All kinds of defamation are hurled at me, that’s all they do,” she said at the Women Walk The World programme here yesterday.

She also expressed disappointment that the services rendered by her husband as Prime Minister were not being appreciated by certain people.

“Nobody knows how exhausted he is every day in managing the country.

“Don’t think I control him. My job is to take care of my husband and family. But people don’t know my husband is dedicated. He takes care of the people even more, especially the people in Pekan,” she said.

Rosmah advised the people of Pekan not to be deceived by “parachute” candidates trying their luck to become the MP here. — Bernama
