PEKAN: Twenty-four Vietnamese fishermen on two foreign boats were detained in an operation by the Malaysian Maritime Enforce­ment Agency in waters off Kuala Pahang, Nenasi and Pulau Tioman.

MMEA Eastern Region Maritime deputy director (Operations) V. Pannir Selvan said the first boat was detained at around 11am on Thursday 153km from Kuala Pahang.
