Stop the tokenism and be serious about women candidates, political parties told

PETALING JAYA: Political parties should place women candidates in winnable seats if they are serious about their commitment to see healthy participation of women in politics, said Persatuan Kesedaran Komuniti Selangor (Empower).

“Despite all the promises made to serve women’s best interests in at least two manifestos, that of Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional, efforts remain tokenistic,” said Empower advocacy and capacity building officer Ain Nasiehah.
