KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has fixed May 17 for deciding on an application by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to recuse Justice Azizah Nawawi from hearing his suit to declare the report by the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) into the foreign exchange losses suffered by Bank Negara as null and void.

Dr Mahathir's lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla told reporters after meeting Justice Azizah in chambers Thursday that they made the application on the grounds that the judge had previously heard a suit filed by his client involving the same subject and issue.
