IPOH: A 32-year-old homemaker was found dead in the master bedroom of her home in Taman Tawas Permai, Kampung Tawas here Monday (April 16).
The woman's body was discovered by her younger sister when she came to visit at around 4pm.
"There were strangulation marks around her neck, believed to have been caused by nylon ropes," said Perak CID chief Senior Asst Comm Yahya Abd Rahman.
"Most of her jewellery were gone, including her necklace and even her nose stud," he said when met at the scene here.
He said police received information that the incident had taken place at around 1.45pm.
SAC Yahya said the victim's husband was out for work and she was at home with her father-in-law at the time.
"But her father-in-law is hard of hearing. Even though he was in the next room, he couldn't hear her screams with the door closed," he said.
SAC Yahya said police are now trying to track down two suspects, aged between 20 and 30.
"According to eyewitnesses, two men were seen walking into the home at 1.45pm and they left around 2.10pm. We have reason to believe that the suspects are related to the victim's family and they live around the area," he said
