Napsiah Omar passes away

SEREMBAN: Former National Unity and Social Development Minister Tan Sri Napsiah Omar passed away at her Ampang Jaya home at 4.45pm on Monday (April 16).  

The former Kuala Pilah MP was 74.

She is believed to have succumbed to liver-related complications.  

Former Pilah assemblyman Datuk Norhayati Omar confirmed Napsiah's death when contacted.  

She said the remains of the former deputy Wanita Umno chief would be brought back to Kuala Pilah later on Monday night.
