PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has expressed its disappointment at the United Nations (UN) Security Council for its failure in the Syrian war as the country faces missile strikes after carrying out deadly chemical attacks.

In a statement on Sunday (April 15), the Foreign Affairs Ministry said the UN Security Council had failed to agree on a dedicated mechanism for effective accountability for the use of chemical weapons in the country.
