KOTA KINABALU: Friendship cannot take precedence over the future of the nation, says Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal in response to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's scathing remarks about him.
Brushing aside accusations that he had "stabbed Najib's back", Shafie said that his style was to confront critical issues directly, even if it involved the Prime Minister.
