The victims were identified as driver Joddy Kumin, 33, and Sandro Vickie Thomas, 25.

Kota Marudu OCPD Supt Mohd Izaan Abdullah said the two were heading from Pitas to Kanibongan when they lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the back of a paver parked on the shoulder of the road.
