Stench leads to discovery of rotting corpse missing body parts in river

KOTA KINABALU: A horrid stench from a river in Beaufort led to the discovery of a decomposing body, believed to be of an elderly man.

The stench was first noticed by 28-year-old labourer Maiden Japar, who was resting at his house near Beaufort, some 100km from here, at about 2.50pm on Monday (April 2).
