Finding the most suitable and employable talent in the Malaysian labour force has become more challenging, amid the global brain drain and talent shortage especially in specific niche areas.

Malaysia’s leading HR solutions and executive search firm, RGF Executive Search Malaysia (RGF Malaysia) aims to resolve businesses’ predicaments by banking on its extensive global talent database and simplifying the entire process of hiring the desired employee.

RGF is a global brand of Recruit Holdings, Japan’s largest and the world’s fourth largest recruiting and information services company. Formerly known as Bó Lè Associates, the Malaysia business will be renamed RGF Executive Search, effective 1st April, as part of Recruit’s integration of its brands to enhance permanent recruitment and executive search services across Asia.

Its managing director Lee Ai Ling said that RGF Malaysia has the capability to attract better talent in the market compared to smaller boutique recruitment agencies, given its regional presence, extensive networks, strong brand, and dedicated team who are true specialists in their area of expertise.

“RGF is one of the most dynamic and trail-blazing recruitment and executive search businesses in Asia,” said Lee.

“The brand integration across the region is an exciting milestone for the organisation and I look forward to leading our growth in Malaysia. While technology is the future and will continue to disrupt the market, finding the right balance and never losing face-to-face engagement with our talent network and clients will always be one of RGF’s core principles.”

Lee believes that the rebranding will help with consistency in the company’s governance and delivery.

“RGF Malaysia offers a “one-stop solution” for our partners in Malaysia who require senior talent. Our clients can be assured that we will be able to support them, leveraging on our talent database which we have built in the past 60 years since the establishment of our parent company RGF Executive Search, while our network of talent will be connected more efficiently with opportunities for cross-border career advancements,” added Lee.

Apart from Malaysia, Bó Lè Associates’ offices in Thailand and Indonesia will also undergo the re-branding move effective 1st April to increase cross-border synergy to serve our networks better.

Over the years, RGF Executive Search, through its presence in 11 countries and markets across Asia Pacific, has successfully placed over 250,000 senior talent per year on average regionally. Its clients range from renowned public listed companies, multinational corporations (MNC), to small and medium enterprises and emerging start-ups.

MNCs alone account for nearly 70% of RGF Malaysia’s clientele to date.

RGF Malaysia caters primarily to six segments namely Life Sciences, Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T), Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, Consumer Markets and Industrial. Currently, the executive search firm has strong successful track record in the IT&T, consumer markets and industrial segments.

Engaging a HR solutions and executive search firm such as RGF, enables an organisation to outsource the entire headhunting cycle, market mapping or salary benchmark project to an industry expert. RGF will have a ready pool of talent, and since they are experts in their own respective fields, they will know what is required for the industry, including niche skill sets and, negotiation of compensation packages.

Lee said that RGF Malaysia’s in-house talent recruiters are highly trained and are well aware of the ever-evolving market trends.

“More and more companies in Malaysia are engaging us for niche and specific talent requirements. Our talent recruiters are chosen among those with actual industry experience and they serve relevant segments according to their expertise. To put it simply, we are recruiting specialists.”

“RGF Malaysia will be entirely involved in the headhunting process, from identifying potentials, filtering, to finding the right fit, negotiation of packages and after service.”

RGF Malaysia offers three main services for the local businesses namely, contingency search, retained search, and market mapping.

Under the contingency search service, an organisation will only be required to pay the talent fee upon successfully hiring of a talent presented by RGF Malaysia.

As for retained search, RGF Malaysia will undertake an exclusive talent search as requested by an organisation, with an agreed project fee where a partial or full upfront payment is made. Usually, clients opt for such service when they prefer the search to be done under confidential conditions.

Meanwhile, market mapping refers to a study of various market conditions based on pre-discussed project requirements, which may or may not result in hiring talent.

“RGF Malaysia tailors its services to the requirements of clients by providing relevant advisory. We ensure transparent communication and follow up with clients, many of which have maintained a strong, long-term partnership with us over the years,” stated Lee.
