MIRI: Seventy-three years ago, Allied Forces' paratroopers landed in the Bario Highlands of northern Sarawak, marking the start of gruelling operation to liberate Sarawak from Japanese rule.
Army battallion chief Major General Datuk Stephen Mundaw was at the Bario village Sunday to pay tribute to the more than 2,000 soldiers and other heroes who played their part in the historic landing on March 25, 1945.
