PETALING JAYA: Malaysia did not need GST during Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's time as prime minister, as there other sources of funds that are now unavailable, says Datuk Eric See-To.
The Barisan Nasional strategic communications deputy director claimed that Dr Mahathir borrowed heavily and quickly until we even reached a debt-to-GDP ratio of 103.4% in 1986.
