PETALING JAYA: The Penang people will suffer a financial loss of RM20.54bil due to the controversial undersea tunnel and three paired roads project, said Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

In explaining a breakdown of the figure in a video on his Facebook page on Thursday (March 15), the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department said the RM6.3bil construction cost of the tunnel would be fully funded by the Penang government and yet the special purpose vehicle (SPV) in charge of the project was given a 30-year concession.
