CHERAS: The body of a man was found by a monk near the Chung Wah Yee San Chinese cemetery here on Wednesday (March 14) afternoon.
The monk - who is also the cemetery's caretaker - alerted the police when he found the body sprawled flat on the ground.
Police have since identified the man as 62-year-old Misni Mohd Sidek, and a preliminary check showed scratches near the brow but no signs of foul play.
"The victim was not believed to have been on any medication and interviews with friends and family showed that he had no personal issues or enemies," said Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji.
ACP Abdul Ghani added that it is believed that Misni fell after trying to go down a hill near the cemetery.
He added that the case is being investigated as a sudden death pending the post-mortem report.
