says he is willing to contest under the ticket of any Pakaatan Harapan coalition party – including DAP – in the 14th General Election (GE14) should Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia be dissolved.
"I'm open, I can stand for DAP even, maybe president of DAP," he quipped during a press conference at the Parliament lobby after the Pakatan presidential council meeting on Tuesday.
He said this was an option he was considering in view of the dilemma faced by the party following a notice from the Registrar of Societies (RoS) saying that Pribumi was at risk of being deregistered.
Asked if this was an obstacle to the Opposition pact, Dr Mahathir said; "Of course, if they (RoS) doen't approve, it would be difficult but we will campaign as Pakatan Harapan".
Recently, the RoS issued a notice to Pribumi which required the party to provide certain information and documents to it by March 29 or face deregistration. – Bernama
