JOHOR BARU: A carpenter is now RM10,000 poorer for trusting two agents to help him obtain documents for his marriage registration with his Indonesian girlfriend.

The agents disappeared after taking the money, and to make matters worse, Tan Hong Zen, 27, had to fork out close to RM9,000 – the foreigner’s rate – when his 22-year-old girlfriend Siti Atini Romli gave birth to a baby boy at a hospital here two weeks ago.
