KLUANG: DAP is expected to move its Johor state chairman to face off against the MCA deputy president for the Ayer Hitam constituency.
It is learnt that Liew Chin Tong, who is Kluang MP, will be facing off against incumbent Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong in the 14th General Election.
This is the first time they will face each other in a general election in Johor.
The Ayer Hitam seat, which has been traditionally been contested by PAS in the past, was supposed to be contested by Amanah.
But a last minute seat swap had enabled DAP to contest the seat, according to party sources.
A major announcement on Liew as the candidate is expected to be made soon.
Liew when contacted refused to comment.
