LAWMAKERS are reminded to maintain their composure during debates in the Dewan Rakyat, says Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.
“Let your geram (frustrations) out during the general election campaigning period.
“But, not in the Dewan Rakyat,” he said when met at the lobby.
He said it could not be helped when emotions run high in the House with the antics of some MPs.
“We are not robots, the people there (in the Dewan Rakyat) also can get emotional. But these emotions must be controlled.
“Sometimes, MPs are different when they are inside the Dewan, they argue and they debate. But, outside, they have coffee and hang out together,” he said.
Asked whether the report on the re-delineation of electoral boundaries would be tabled, Pandikar Amin said he had not seen the Order Paper yet adding that the executive branch can file a 24-hour notice for Government’s businesses to take place.
