Ongkili gives thumbs up for FT water management body proposal

Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water, Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili has been tasked by the Cabinet to decide on the date for invoking Wasia, to enable the Federal Government to take over the water assets in Selangor.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili has given a thumbs up on the proposal to set up an independent water management body for the Federal Territories.

The Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister said the proposal, if implemented, could address the issue of water supply disruptions in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
