Ongkili: PBS may field new faces in coming polls

Kitingan, Ongkili and PBS supreme council members at the party headquarters in Donggongon on Thursday.

PENAMPANG: The Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) line-up for the next general election may include some new faces, said Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili.

The Deputy PBS president said the first list of proposed candidates has been completed and submitted to the national and state Barisan Nasional chairmen.

“The PBS proposed candidates list has been handed to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Sabah Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman," said Ongkili.

He said this on Thursday (March 1) after the party's supreme council meeting chaired by PBS president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

Ongkili, who is also the Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister, said the party's election machinery is ready.

“I believe with hard work, effective strategies and full cooperation from all Barisan component parties, we will win all seats allocated to PBS,” he said.
