Terengganu BN confident it can win big in GE14

KUALA TERENGGANU: Terengganu Barisan Nasional is certain it can win in the 14th general election (GE14).

State Barisan information chief Wan Hakim Wan Mokhtar said the ruling coalition is “quietly confident” that it will win once again.

“We have put in the work to create a solid plan and we now leave it up God to decide,” he said at a media briefing on the eve of the state Barisan convention on Wednesday (Feb 28).

The Air Putih assemblyman said the coalition is not perturbed by the Opposition's strategies, claiming that the numbers show that the people will give Barisan their support.

“We don’t care what people say and we are not reactive. We will carry out what we've planned when the time comes,” he said.

Previously, Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said that the people's approval of and confidence in the BN-led state government were improving, citing an opinion poll.

In the poll, which was conducted last November, the state government had an approval rating of 61% while confidence in BN and Umno was 71%.

Ahmad Razif, who is also the state Barisan chief, is aiming for a clean sweep in the coming general election.
