KOTA KINABALU: Three suspected criminals were killed in a shootout with police at a plantation in Sabah’s south eastern Tawau district.

Tawau district police chief Asst Comm Fadil Marsus said that the three men were shot dead after they opened fire at the police team about a kilometre away from the main Kalabakan-Keningau road at 3.20pm Tuesday (Feb 27).
