Founder’s death casts pall over children’s home

BUTTERWORTH: For the past 13 years, the Shammah Children Home in Bagan Ajam has been providing shelter to more than 60 underprivileged children.

With the passing of the home’s founder Steven Joseph, his wife Mary Josephine Augustine, 44, will now manage the home full-time with the help from volunteers and three staff members.
