Nhaveen murder case transferred to High Court

GEORGE TOWN: The magistrate’s court here has allowed the case of four teenagers charged with the murder of T.Nhaveen to be transferred to the Penang High Court.

J. Ragesuthen and S. Gokulan, both 18, along with two others, one aged 17 and another who turned 18 last July, were charged with murdering Nhaveen between 11pm and midnight on June 9 last year near a learning centre in Jalan Kaki Bukit, Bukit Gelugor. They face the death sentence if convicted.

Meanwhile, the Sessions Court fixed March 27 for mention of the four for allegedly causing grievous hurt to T. Previin, who was Nhaveen’s friend, at the same time and place.
