KOTA KINABALU: Police are investigating whether a kidnap-for-ransom group or sea robbers were involved in the shooting case involving a fishing trawler here.
Sabah Deputy Police Commis-sioner Datuk Razarudin Husain said the police do not believe that the gunmen who were seen wearing black fatigues and who shot at the fishing trawler on Thursday were linked to any militant groups.
