Many employers have applied to hire foreign maids via SMO


PETALING JAYA: More than 6,000 employers have submitted their applications to hire foreign maids via the Maid Online System (SMO) since it was launched last month, says the Immigration Department.

Out of the 6,053 employers who had applied, 1,345 applications for domestic helpers have been completed and registered under the system, said Immigration director-general Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali.
