Veteran journalist mulls defamation suit appeal

GEORGE TOWN: Veteran journalist Terence Fernandez, who lost a defamation suit over his article titled MACC begins probe on Merc purchase, is consulting his lawyers on whether to appeal.

The article, that was published by the now defunct online portal FZ.com on Jan 3, 2014, alleged that a Mercedes-Benz S300L was sold to the Penang state government by a company known as Lowe Motors Sdn Bhd, of which tycoon Tan Sri Tan Kok Ping was formerly the managing director.
