LANGKAWI: The operator of the Langkawi SkyCab cable car system here will carry out an investigation to determine the exact reasons behind a system failure that left over 1,000 tourists stranded on Sunday.

Panorama Langkawi Sdn Bhd board member Datuk Azizan Noordin said while a faulty bearing had been identified as the reason for the breakdown, the probe would involve finding the exact cause for and source of the faulty part to ensure there would be no recurrence.
