Anifah grateful for UAE cooperation in release of Lau

PETALING JAYA: Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman has confirmed the release of Malaysian engineer Richard Lau from a Dubai prison, but noted that Lau will remain in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for trial in court until the case is over.

“The Malaysian Government wishes to thank the UAE foreign affairs ministry, the Ras Al Khaimah emir, the UAE law ministry, Ras Al Khaimah legal department, and Malaysian embassy officials in Abu Dhabi, as well as the consulate general in Dubai over their assistance.
