Land officer among two arrested over RM35,000 bribe


KOTA KINABALU: A government land officer was among two people arrested for allegedly demanding RM35,000 over the release of a land title.

A 46-year-old middleman and a 54-year-old assistant land revenue officer from the Beaufort Land and Survey Department were arrested late Thursday (Feb 8) following a sting operation by graft busters at a restaurant in Beaufort town about 100km from here.
