GEORGE TOWN: A High Court here has granted a psychiatric re-evaluation of the 38-year-old bodyguard who was charged with multiple murders and attempted murders during a shooting spree along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.

High Court Judicial Commissioner Datuk Abdul Wahab Mohamed agreed to the re-evaluation after counsel Y. Anbananthan requested for it on the grounds that the first evaluation from Hospital Bahagia in Tanjung Rambutan, Perak, failed to mention the mental state of Ja’afar Halid during the 2016 incident.
