Fire razes longhouse, leaving 300 homeless

MIRI: About 300 people were left homeless after a fire razed a longhouse in the Sebauh district on Monday morning (Feb 5).

The state welfare authorities, the Miri Fire and Rescue Department and other volunteers were at the site to help the victims of the 70-door longhouse Rh Nyipa following the disaster.

The cause of the fire is still being probed.
