KUALA TERENGGANU: A police inspector pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court here Thursday to a charge of accepting a RM3,000 bribe as an inducement to “take it easy” on an individual caught for drug offences in February 2016.
Lee Beng Oui, 37, from the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Kemaman police, was accused of receiving the money from Corporal Aziz Abdullah, acting on behalf of Asmadi Ali, the father of Firdaus Asmadi who was arrested for possession of drugs and testing positive for drugs.
