Three remanded over assault of technician at Puchong Barat toll plaza

SUBANG JAYA: Three men have been remanded to assist investigations into the assault of a 39-year-old technician following an accident near the Puchong Barat toll plaza.

“Three suspects have been caught to assist investigations under Section 394 of the Penal Code (causing hurt while committing a robbery),” said Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari when contacted Tuesday (Jan 23).

“All three suspects have been remanded for four days until Friday (Jan 26),” he added.

The victim suffered multiple injuries on his body and face after an angry mob pounded on him on Jan 19.
The technician also lost his belongings, and personal identification documents during the attack, which started when he accidentally hit a motorcycle and injured the rider.

After the accident, the victim was chased and beaten by a group of people at the side of the road. A video of the incident has since gone viral.
