Motorcyclist killed in crash with lorry on LDP


PETALING JAYA: A man was crushed to death by a lorry after he lost control of his motorcycle on the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP). 
 
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the incident occurred at around 7.15am on Monday (Jan 22) near KM5.1 of the highway.
 
“The lorry was travelling from Sungai Buloh to Kelana Jaya when the motorcycle grazed it causing the rider to lose control of his machine.
 
“The rider fell under the lorry and was crushed by its wheels while the pillion rider suffered multiple injuries,” he said.
 
He added both were Indonesian construction workers.
 
He said the case is being investigated under the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
