Malaysian DJ Gheetha makes record starring in two Indian films

KUALA LUMPUR: While it is difficult for actors from Malaysia to enter the Kollywood industry in Tamil Nadu as the state itself is flooded with talent, one woman from Taiping, Perak, has managed to break the barrier.

Local radio DJ Gheetha Ammasee (pic) not only made history as the first Malaysian actress to be accepted and to play the lead role in two movies, Kaaval (2017) and Sangu Chakkaram (2018), she has also produced movies in Tamil Nadu.
