Zahid teaches cleric a history lesson

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has taught a Muslim cleric Malaysian history, pointing out that it is absolutely inaccurate to claim that only the Malays fought for the country during World War II and the Malayan Emergency.

Referring to writings by historian Tan Sri Khoo Kay Kim, the Deputy Prime Minister said history had shown that the struggle against Japanese occupiers and the Malayan Communist Party (CPM) involved all races in the country.
