TRANG (thailand): The Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, cycled for 20km to visit the poor as well as several schools in the Trang province.
The programme organised by the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs) was also joined in by his son, Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Jamalullail.
The other 50 participants included MAIPs chief executive officer Mohd Nazim Mohd Noor and Perlis police chief Datuk Azisman Alias.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin also presented donations to the poor and schools along the route.
In a separate programme, the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, paid a visit to the children’s ward at the Trang Hospital.
Greeted by hospital director Dr Jirawan Arayapong, doctors, and hospital staff, she spent about an hour there presenting hampers to more than 30 young patients.
The Raja Puan Muda is accompanying Raja Muda Perlis in the MAIPs goodwill visit programme to the Trang province.
The three-day programme, which began on Friday, was part of a multi-field smart partnership platform between MAIPs and the Islamic religious councils of the six Andaman provinces of Thailand. — Bernama
