KUALA LUMPUR: City police held three traffic operations on Saturday night (Jan 13) against Mat Rempit.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Lazim said 23 people were arrested with 347 summonses issued.
"Eight motorcycles were seized in the operations here that began at about 10pm," he said when contacted on Sunday.
Comm Mazlan said the operations were part of efforts to curb the activities of Mat Rempit.
"They must know that we are seriously looking into this matter.
"Please refrain from taking part in these dangerous activities," he said, warning that action will be taken against Mat Rempit racers.
