PETALING JAYA: Actor and director Datuk Farid Kamil Zahari is a person who seldom shares his feelings.
This is according to Fadzil Zahari, who revealed that his eldest brother kept things mostly to himself.
In saying that he was shocked with the slapping and kicking incident at the Kota Damansara police station, Fadzil said family problems could be the reason behind his brother’s unruly acts.
“We tried to contact his wife (Diana Danielle) but could not get through,” he told reporters at the courts complex here after police obtained a remand order against Farid.
Fadzil also said Farid told him he had not seen his children for two days.
Another brother, Anis Anwar Zahari, said they would send Farid for a medical check-up and give him moral support.
Yesterday, magistrate Zaki Asyraf Zubir granted a four-day remand order for police to investigate Farid for allegedly slapping a policeman and kicking another man at the police station.
Lawyer Athari Bahardin said his client was being investigated under Section 353 of the Penal Code for criminal assault of a public servant, Section 323 of the same Act and Section 90 of the Police Act for disorderly conduct and Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act.
On Thursday, Farid, 37, was arrested after he flew into a fit of rage during the 1.20pm incident.
It is understood that the actor had gone to the police station to lodge an accident report.
Police said a urine test on him came back positive for drugs.
